Escalators for big buildings like malls, hospitals, subway stations, and airports. These escalators are designed for room height+floor thickness of 520cm and 754cm.
An escalator is a bit of an awkward model in Sweet Home 3D. A real escalator starts below the floor and extends into the floor above. Unfortunately it is not possible to define separate staircase cutouts for the bottom and top floor or to define that only the top floor should be cut.
Because of this there are three versions per escalator: a full escalator that starts below the floor and cuts holes, a full escalator that does not cut holes, and an escalator where the bottom part is cut off so that it can be placed like a normal staircase. For this last escalator there is a separate bottom model that can be stuck to the ceiling in the room below the escalator to simulate the full escalator.
The easiest to use is the escalator with a single cutout because it can be placed like a normal staircase.

The full escalator with cutout will cut the same hole in both the bottom and top floor and must be placed on the level below where you want the escalator to show. It must be elevated to (room height+floor thiskness)-66cm. If you align escalators on top of each other for multiple floors the holes for bottom and top match each other. That way you don't have the problem of a bottom hole where it is not supposed to be while you can still use full escalators that cut holes. You can also use the full escalator that does not cut holes and manually create the hole in the top floor. Keep in mind the structural construction of floors when you use an escalator. It's heavy machinery that most likely requires support beams.

Companion staircases

There is often a normal staircases as an alternative to the escalator. For each of the two escalators there is a staircase in the library that spans the same height as the escalators.
These staircases are special to Sweet Home 3D! Every single part of the staircase is created with the Generate 3D shape plugin tool, no predefined shapes were used. Completely created in Sweet Home 3D, Blender is only used to merge groups and to smooth the handrail.
Fences

There are several fences to enclose the floor cutouts. For a single escalator, for two escalators side-by-side, and for a combination of two escalators and a staircase.
Additionally there are "display fences". These have display compartments with windows or a solid wall. The versions with windows have lights to brighten the contents of the compartments and are deep enough to add small shelves if you want. One version has opening windows, the other is much smaller in object size but without hinges and locks, and don't open.

Didn't find a model that you need? Ask for it in the Dodecagon forum thread with a clear description. If the model is interesting for more users and fits in the library I will consider adding it.
